He said that the neighbourhood in which he lived belonged to him and gave me the house he is kept in as a present. The fact being that he never owned anything in his life except what others gave him in shape of food and clothing.
He frequently tears his clothing and breaks crockery, during periods of frantic excitement when he is forced to be held down so as to restrain him from doing violence to others. He claims the baskets of passing pedlars as his property and imagines everything he sees to be his own.
