She states that a man is constantly talking to her although she has not seen him and that he accuses her of being unclean also rotten to the core. Husband states that on more than one occasion she has wandered off to Bangor and Menai Bridge to see the Police and explain and prove to them that she is pure and not unclean. Physical/Mental State at Examination: Fairly good health and condition. Her conversation is rambling and she is restless in her behaviour. Seems to have a delusion that she is impure and also complains in a rambling way about her eyesight. Aural hallucinations.

Current Diagnosis: Schizophrenia (F20.0)

Case Notes

1920 Apr 20 (copy) - Suffering from Delusional Insanity.

Delusions of persecution and states that she hears the voices of spirits accusing her of impurity.

Her memory is not at all good and her conversation is at times rather rambling and always refers to the accusation made against her purity, otherwise she is well conducted.

27 - Deluded as ever.

May 5 - Unchanged.

May 12 - Rambling, deluded.

June 10 - Does not improve much.

July 15 - Condition unchanged. Sept 18 - Still deluded. Owing to deafness she is not very communicative.

22 - Transferred to Prestwich Mental Hospital, Manchester.
