(Address given as Craig y Don Boarding Establishment, Llandudno but admitted from Conway Workhouse) She has a vacant look and at times gets quite excited and throws her arms about. She has loss of memory and thinks she has been here for 2 or 3 weeks whereas she has only been for 2 days. She refuses to take her food. Mrs Mary Evans, Matron, Poor Law Institution, Conway, states that she (patient) stands up in bed, places the counterpane around her and prays continually. She throws the dishes about. She was walking about the ward nearly all night. Dr. Joseph R. Williams, Conway, 3rd Aug 1920.

Physical/Mental State at Examination: Poor health and condition and suffering from Pulmonary Tuberculosis. She is very confused and her memory is defective. She is dull and unresponsive and takes some time answering questions.

Current Diagnosis: Unspecified organic disorder (F09)

Case Notes

1920 Aug 6 (copy) - Quiet and depressed and keeps to herself. Memory for recent events is not good and she can only give a very confused account of herself. Since admission there has been no excitement and she has taken her food well.

12 - Dull and apathetic. At present being kept in bed in the huts.

19 - 27 - No change. Sept 18 - Still confused and defective in memory.

Quiet and well conducted.

In the Huts but has improved a little physically.

Oct 18 - Improving mentally and physically. Dec 30 - Discharged recovered.
